Hon Wumi Oladeji Secures Third Term APC House Of Assembly Ticket
The incumbent state assembly lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North state constituency at the 9th Assembly, Honourable Bimbo Olawumi Oladeji has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party’s candidate having emerged winner of the House of Assembly primary, Westernmirror.Com.ng
The Ogbomoso North APC primary election held at Aina Guest House, the stipulated venue for the exercise under the supervision of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), party delegates, and security agencies.
Hon. Oladeji, who emerged winner with 43 votes and the APC candidate for Ogbomoso North ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general election defeated her closest rival, Olatunde Abraham Olasunkanmi who was able to secure only 3 votes.
Others aspirants who participated in the APC primary election in Ogbomoso North include Bolaji Tunji who scored 2 votes, and Shittu Olaitan Abede who polled just 1 vote.
Westernmirror gathered that agents and representatives of all the aspirants including the winner, Hon. Oladeji have signed the INEC result sheet to validate the result of the primary election.
Hon. Oladeji, westernmirror understands was also member of the 8th Assembly and would become a three term lawmaker and most ranking state legislator of the 10th Assembly if she eventually wins at the forthcoming 2023 general election.
Total number of 50 party delegates participated in the APC primary election in Ogbomoso North and 49 valid votes were recorded in total while 1 voided vote was recorded.
Speaking exclusively with westernmirror shortly after her victory at the party primary, visibly excited Hon. Oladeji dedicated her victory to God and late governor Adebayo Alao Akala.
She assured that the entire Akala political dynasty will continue to preserve the legacy and memories left behind by the former governor whom the lawmaker described as her political mentor, father, and leader.
