61st Independence: Senator Buhari Congratulates Nigerians
I congratulate Nigerians, most especially great people of Oyo North and Oyo state at large on the 61st independence day anniversary of our great nation, Nigeria.
I commend the resilience spirit of Nigerians in the face of our current challenges and our firm belief in democracy as the best form of piloting the affairs of this nation.
Though I am aware Federal Government of Nigeria is doing every thing possible to secure this country and set her on the path of prosperity, I urge her to do more and adopt new strategies aim at putting an end to the current insecurity all over the country.
I passionately plead for cooperation and understanding by Nigerians in tackling all our national challenges. We should all desist from acts that are capable of putting this country into crises, disunity and destruction. We are all better off in a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria.
On my part as a Senator representing Oyo North at the senate, I have not taken lightly the trust reposed in me by my constituents, my activities as legislator are not hidden as recently I was correctly adjudged the best Senator in the southwest region and the fifth best all over the country. I solemnly pledge to do more as I put the representation of my people at the fore.
At this critical period, let us all be united in praying for the peace, progress and development of this country as we all have nowhere to call home than Nigeria.
I wish Oyo North, Oyo State and Nigerian people at large a blissful independence day celebration.
