The lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the zone in the forthcoming elections, Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari today Monday 12th December, 2022 commissioned an Ultra Modern 150 Capacity CBT Centre at Egbeji Junction, Oke Owode area in Ogbomoso.
The digital literacy training centre which was facilitated to the town was named after the late His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III,the Soun of OgbomosoLand who passed away a year ago.
In a release by the lawmaker which was made available to press reads thus ;
” Today is historic. It marks a year death anniversary of the late Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba (Dr) Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III.
At the earlier hour of the the day, I joined the immediate family of Oba Oyewumi, the Soun in council and other well wishers to offer prayers for the departed soul of our Kabiyesi.
At noon, In a bid to immortalize the memory of our late Monarch and highly, I was joined by sons and daughters of Ogbomoso, political office holders and heads of government institutions in Ogbomoso to commission the Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi (Ajagungbade III) ICT centre, a modern150 Capacity ICT centre I facilitated to Egbeji Junction, Oke Owode, Ogbomoso.
Insha Allah, this is just one of the many monuments that will be dedicated to the memory of His Royal Majesty who lived his entire live for the betterment of Ogbomoso and humanity at large.
The event had the following dignitaries among others in attendance:
1. Areago of Ogbomoso, High Chief Sobaloju Otolorin led the Soun in Council to the event.
2. Sheikh Teliat Yunus Ayilara, Chief Imam of Ogbomosoland
3. Venerable Adegoke, Zonal Chairman CAN Ogbomoso Zone
4. Senator Yemi Brimmo Yusuff, former Senator representing Oyo North (1999-2003) and APC Leader
5. Chairman of Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Prof Dakas Dakas (SAN) led all members of the council to the occasion.
6. The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, Dr T. Adekunle Abdulhamid and all the principal officers of the institution.
7. Engr Dayo Lawal, former executive chairman, Ogbomoso North Local Government and APC Leader.
8. Hon Segun Odebunmi Bunvic, member House of Representatives, Surulere/Ogo-Oluwa Federal Constituency.
9. Oyo State House of Assembly Members, Hon Jacob Bamgboye(Oriire State Constituency), and Hon Wumi Oladeji (Ogbomoso North State Constituency).
10. All Progressives Congress 2023 Elections Candidates, Chieftains and Members across Ogbomoso zone.
May the soul of Baba Soun continue to rest peacefully in Al-Jannah.
Records have it that this is the fourteenth (14th) ICT Centre that the lawmaker has facilitated to Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire local governments, within Ogbomoso zone, with over forty three others spread across the remaining ten (10) local government areas that make up the Oyo North senatorial district.
