Dr Adewusi Adepoju John, the immediate past Deputy Dean of Students’ Affairs has been appointed as the Acting Dean of Students’ Affairs of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Kalilu.

The Ogbomoso-born Adepoju was educated at Ijeru Baptist Day Primary School, Ogbomoso; Baptist Secondary Grammar School, Ahoyaya, Ogbomoso; and studied B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D in the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, LAUTECH.
Dr Adepoju, became a Senior Lecturer at the institution’s Pure and Applied Chemistry Department in 2021.
Our source reports that the appointment of Dr Adepoju, aside being a good and welcome development in the institution was also seen as round peg in a round round hole because of his commitment to promoting student welfare and academic excellence.
As a native of the host community and his past experiences, both as student and staff, Adepoju Ph.d is equally well positioned to understand the challenges facing the Institution and to work towards finding solutions. His appointment is seen as a positive development for both the university and it host community , and it is hoped that he will be able to build on the successes of his predecessor and take LAUTECH to greater heights.
