Hon. Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao Akala, as the inaugural Chairman of the House Committee on Youths in Parliament, has embarked on his legislative journey with an unwavering commitment to serve his constituents both within and beyond the green chamber. Eschewing sentiments, he stands out as a champion, pushing the interest of the youth and his community with passion and clarity.

12 months ago, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao Akala announced himself on the floor of the sacred chamber of the Federal House of Representatives as a humble yet confident and enthusiastic lawmaker, passionate about serving his people in his new job. As the representative of Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency ‘Ojuoloore’, LMJ or leader of the youths as he is fondly called has carved a niche for himself as a people’s representative and compassionate politician.

Blessed with an unassuming yet larger-than-life personality, humility, calmness, and the distinct ability to make his presence felt in whatever capacity he finds himself, Hon. Akala took the House of Representative complex by storm, presenting himself as a man who means business.

In the first-ever plenary session of the 10th House of Representatives, Honorable Olamijuwonlo was unanimously selected as the Deputy Chairman, the House Adhoc Committee on Internal Security, the committee was headed by, Hon. Hassan Danjuma from Kano State.

Being the man of the people with  powerful followership borne out of the undiluted love the Ogbomoso people have for her golden son of the soil, it is ostensibly clear that this feeling is mutual, even though as a Lawmaker, his primary responsibility is to sponsor laws, motions, petitions, etc, regardless, he has found a way to have a massive impact on his constituents in less than a year in office, in key areas such as Education, notable mention to the construction of a block of two classrooms in Oriire LG, and the purchase of Jamb forms for 300 students

In his Constituency, Infrastructure development, Healthcare, ICT, Agriculture, empowerment for constituents, cash relief and grants, skills acquisition training and so on.
