Again Senator Buhari Facilitates The Construction of Isalu/Ikere Gorge Dam After Decades Of Abandonment
The lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber, Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari has facilitated the construction of Isalu Ikere Gorge Dam Road in Iseyin local government areas of Oyo State, premiumnewsnig.com
The legislator made this known through his Media Office , in a release that was made available to the press.
The statement read thus;
“It is my pleasure and delight to announce that the Federal Government of Nigeria ably led by President Muhammadu Buhari has graciously approved the immediate construction of Isalu/Ikere Gorge Dam road in Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State.
It must be noted that the very important road had suffered neglect and defied every intervention since the return of democracy in 1999 only for it to be used as campaign promise by the previous federal legislators from Oyo North with no action taken on it”.
The release further reads , “Considering the importance of the road to the socioeconomic activities of the entire Oke-Ogun, I had prioritized its execution to make life more meaningful for our people by extensively lobbying the appropriate authorities using my legislative prowess.
Alhamdulilah (to God be the glory), it paid off as the road was approved and awarded to Fiser international limited for immediate execution.
It is instructive to note that delegations from Federal Ministry of Works led by Engr Egunjobi and the contractor represented by Engr Sulaiman Amusa had paid a preliminary visit to the road yesterday, 28th February, 2022 with the assurance that workers would be mobilized to the road in few days time.
I must at this juncture appreciate on behalf of the good people of Oyo North the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammad Buhari for this good thought intervention and assure of the support of the good people of Oyo North to his administration.
On my part, I won’t just relent in my struggle and lobby to not only ensure that the road is completed in a record time, but also leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the nook and cranny of Oyo North enjoy the unlimited dividends of democracy they voted me to bring to them, BAF, as the lawmaker is being fondly called by his ever growing loyalists enthusts.
It would be recalled that the
Oyo State gubernatorial hopeful in the 2023 elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) started the year on a good note, as usual, by training over four hundred (400) constituents in Oyo North Senatorial District and over two hundred (200) selected beneficiaries from all the local government areas of Oyo State.
The leading contender for the exalted seat in 2023 under the APC is installing over two thousand (2000) solar street lights, forty (40) transformers and boreholes across all the thirteen (13) local governments in Oyo North Senatorial District.
