The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo North Senatorial District under the able Chairmanship of Honourable Tunde Oloyede, met today Thursday 17th June, 2022 at the Viewing Hall, Ago Are in Atisbo Local Government to further find lasting solutions to rebuilding the party for victory and to find lasting solutions to the various crisis rocking the party.

The meeting which was well attended by all the party local government chairmen, secretaries, youths and women leaders as well as party stakeholders across the zones was described as a great move towards having a formidable and stronger party for victories in the forthcoming elections,premiumnewsnig.com gathered.

According to our source, earlier, the chairman appreciated the efforts of the party leaders in the just concluded Presidential Primary Election that produced Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s Flagbearer.

While congratulating the winners and thanking God for giving the party Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom he believes is a unifier and master strategist , he urged all party members to work in unison, irrespective of the outcome of the primaries, so that party will win massively at the polls.

The gathering afforded the representatives from each local government and zone the opportunity to speak on the state of the party in their respective domains.

Discussions at the meeting centred on how the winners in the just concluded primary elections will meet those who lost out and pacify them to remain steadfast so that the party could win the 2023 elections.

It was also unanimously agreed that Reconciliation Committee should be set from the ward to state levels, as a matter of urgency, to champion this reconciliation course.

According to Pa Adediran Enoch from Atisbo Local Government, “the party was peaceful until after the recent primary elections into the state house of assembly but reconciliation is ongoing and the outcome has been encouraging. I charge all relevant stakeholders to do their best in bringing normalcy into the party”.

Engineer Abolade Akanni, a Chieftain of the party in Iseyin local government, charged members of the party, especially the newly inaugurated executive members to take the bull by the horns in bringing those aggrieved members back into the party.

According to Hon Jimoh Dare from Saki East local government, ” there is no problem in the party whatsoever. All we are doing for now is how to bring new members on board. But in all honesty, there are problems in some local governments to the best of my knowledge. Like Iseyin, Itesiwaju and Iwajowa. Though the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected to calm so many nerves down especially those threatening to join Accord Party”, he concluded.

Honoured Adedeji Abiodun Adeyemo, fondly called Obadoba, the Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, who represented the legislator appreciated all attendees, pleaded for unity and pledged the lawmaker’s support to the party at all times.

” This gathering is not about Senator Fatai Buhari but for the larger family of the All Progressives Congress (APC) within Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State and the nation at large. We should forget factions and work together as one big family so that we can win the forthcoming elections. The party is waxing stronger. For instance, Barrister Adebayo Shittu would have been here but for very important reasons he could not make it to this place but his representatives are here in numbers. I urge us to be united for the progress of the party”.

Relevant stakeholders were equally urged to help the party in ways possible and to assemble sane minded image makers for the party at all levels.

Honourable Tunde Oloyede appreciated all those who attended the party and promised to make it a consistent meeting with larger attendees.

Others in attendance at the meeting were, Hon Kamardeen Nageri, Oyo State APC Financial Secretary, Hon Raufu Akanji former Vice Chairman of Ogbomoso North local government and Prince Wasiu Olukan who represented Senator Brimoh Yusuff and Engineer Dayo Lawal, Hon Oladimeji Atanda Azuzu, former Commissioner for Works and Transport, Hon Akin Ajeigbe Bada, Former Minority Leader from Saki West, Hon Samuel Ogunjobi, former Chairman of Iganna Local Development Council Area (LCDA) and Oyo State APC Deputy Governorship Candidate in the 2019 Oyo State Gubernatorial Race, Alhaji Arikeuyo Yinus, former Oyo North Senatorial Chairman, Oyo State APC Youth Leader, Hon Aremu Oyetunji, Hon B A Fadairo from Irepo Local Government and Chief Oke Samuel from Kajola local government amongst others.
