Akala’s Death : I am still in shock, Senator Buhari.
Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber, has described the death of Otunba Dr Christopher Adebayo Alao, the former governor of Oyo State, as a huge shock that will be impossible for him to forget.
The Oyo State 2023 Gubernatorial Hopeful under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said this when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the Otun of the Source at his Opadoyin residence, Randa Ogbomoso, premiumnewsnig.com reports.
Senator Fatai Buhari, who just cut short his three (3) weeks stay in the United States Of America where he was to attend a leadership training programme at Harvard University said,
” This afternoon, I visited the family of my Egbon and our departed party leader in Oyo state, His Excellency Otunba Dr Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala whose shocking death occurred on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 at Opadoyin Akala’ Villa, Randa Ogbomoso.
” I was just touching down in the US last week Tuesday to attend the three (3) weeks leadership training I had opted for in Harvard University when the news of Booda Bayo’s demise reached me like wind. I immediately put a call across to the family to condole with them, and instructed my team to proceed and offer my condolences.
The performing senator further said,
” Not only that, I had to abort the training and put all logistics in place to return home as quickly as possible to mourn my departed Egbon.
” I am still in shock and finding it hard to come to the reality that H.E whom I spoke with on phone two days before that black Wednesday is gone. A rare gem is gone !

” As painful as his death is to me, I am comforted that Egbon not only came to the world, he saw and conquered. He left indelible marks and impacted lives. He truly lives on in the mind of all of us. This was my message to the family today.
The much talked about Senator condoled and offered prayers for the family.
” It is my prayers that God Almighty rest the soul of Otun of the source in paradise and be with the families he left behind.
