With deep sorrow in our hearts but total submission to the will of Allah, the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Ogbomoso North Local Government wish to announce the shocking passing away of her Chairman, Alhaji Raimi Aremu Agunyanmole, whose sudden death occurred at in the early hours of today after a brief illness.
He will be buried according to Islamic rite this morning at 10:00am at his Agunyanmole Compound, Bolanta area , Ogbomoso.
Born to the family of Mr & Mrs Aremu Olosun of Agunyanmole Compound,Saja on the 4th April, 1944 Alhaji Raimi Aremu Agunyanmole attended Inalende Primary School, Ibadan in 1955 and Bolanta Primary School, Ogbomoso in 1965 before proceeding to Junior High School and later to Cooperative College in Osogbo.
Alhaji Aremu Agunyanmole was also a unique hair barber who had his shop at Ita Biyi compound, Ogbomoso before he finally joined politics in 1968.
Baba Agunyanmole was the Assistant Manager, Agbeliba Cooperative Union in 1990.
He has been the chairman of Ogbomoso Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative Union from 1993 to date.
His Political Career In Brief :
Alhaji Raimi Aremu Agunyanmole was the Personal Assistant to the late Alhaji Laide Bello and Lawyer Olatunji Mohammed.
Baba has been so loyal and deicated to Akalism, ever since he met his Political Hero and benefactor, His Excellency, Late Dr Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala and he will be greatly missed in this Political Dynasty and Ogbomoso as a whole.
He also occupied these political positions
Organizing Secretary of National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in 1978 and Zonal Organizing Secretary of United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) in 1992 and later the Financial Secretary of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN).
Baba Agunyanmole was the Party Chairman of the All People’s Party(APP) in Ogbomoso North Local Government 1998.
