The lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari has assured the Soun Of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, Orumogege III, of unflinching support, as he had always done, for the peace, progress and development of Ogbomoso.

The Chairman, House Committee On Aviation, gave this assurance when he visited the first class monarch at his palace on Friday 13th October, 2023.

According to the legislator, Kabiyesi, long may you live in the throne of your forebears.
We were on vacation and I was away during the installation that was why I could not come but I promised to come here first on arrival to Ogbomoso.

I coordinated my aburo Lamiju so that we can come together. Kabiyesi, I was the Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Matters in Oyo State and I have travelled to many palaces but you are the first Kabiyesi to have 25 years developmental plans for his town, to the best of my knowledge.

This makes you unique, this further proves your zeal for the growth of the town and it is our prayer that your tenure will usher in more development to Ogbomoso.
Kabiyesi, call us for any help in Abuja . We will be willing to host you , we are your subjects.

In his response, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye appreciated their coming and urged all sons and daughters of Ogbomoso to come together for the advancement of the town.

” We need the 132 KVA Power Station to work. No investor will come and invest in a town that has no electricity. I have done my research and it is not difficult to make it work. Politicians must love their people because you will come back to them in another 4 years. Mine is everlasting until God calls me home. I charge you and others to work in unity to make this happen. I will come to Abuja when the need be and I am sure you will host me as promised”, the monarch enthused.

Earlier, Hon Olamijuwonlo Alao Akala, the house of representative member representing Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire Federal Constituency congratulated the Kabiyesi on his ascension to the throne of his forebears and prayed that his reign will be more peaceful.

In company of the Senate Buhari was the Oyo North Senatorial Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon Tunde Oloyede, Alhaji Bukola Badmus, Hon Adedeji Abiodun Adeyemo, the Pioneer Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Council Development Area, Hon Woleola Yekeen, Hon Adeyi Adekunle and Prince Bello Ololade.
