The saying “Youths are the leaders of tomorrow” will always be one of the overused phrases with stark ineffectiveness in the Nigeria context.

Youth, a word that is mostly mispronounced for “Political tools” in the Nigerian political vocabulary and massively used by selfish and callous leaders whose sole goal is to make the leadership and wealth of a nation a sole property.

This is to establish the fact that without youth a nation will not break down or rise. This is to say, any community without forthright youths that are willing to strive for its continuous growth and development, such a community is just a mere assemblage of stagnant individuals with no hunger for a progressive society.

However, some communities are endowed with exceedingly promising and vibrant youths with hope of bright futures but selfishness, sincere love for crumbs, inability to speak the truth to the executives and championing certain courses for total emancipation that will bring much tangible relief to all and sundry, are some of the reasons such communities will remain developmentally stagnant until they take the need to speak serious.

Oke Ogun Youths Solidarity Support Group has taken the bull by the horns to educate and orientate the generality of her inhabitants to quicken the need for continuous growth and development of the zone.

This can only be achieved by ensuring that their intentions are represented by selfless, responsible, responsive, experienced, God-fearing personality with a sincere love for the good people of Oke Ogun.

Inarguably, relatively all communities in Nigeria need modern development to give their inhabitants hope for a better tomorrow but the youths in Oke Ogun under the auspices of Oke Ogun Youths Solidarity Support Group are thirsty for continuous growth and development, and the need to have a tested, trusted, and credible leader with blissful touches to quench their thirst for the betterment of all.

This was the singular reason why the thoughtful youths mobilized both young and old to come together on Saturday 21st May 2022, at Saki City Hall to preach this gospel to the attendees and ensured that many others who could not attend, got fed through the various social media platforms, radio stations and other means.

In furtherance, the Oke Ogun Youths Solidarity Support Group came together again for the second time on Saturday, 25th June 2022 at Kisi Town Hall in Irepo Local Government to continue orienting the people on the need to support and choose leaders with outstanding achievements and people-centric political philosophy in the forthcoming elections, which will bring more dividends of democracy to the zone.

Also interesting to know is that, these open minded youths with yet to be quenched thirst for massive development of Oke Ogun conceived and executed the programme of activities without taking a dim from an political leader as it is being experienced these days to deceive the electorates.

As extracted from their various speeches, Oke Ogun has had many political leaders since the inception of democracy in Nigeria in 1999 but their combined performances in office were not close to the unprecedented achievements of the present lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the Senate, in the person of Distinguished Senator Dr. AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari.

The youths took time to highlight the achievements of the former senators in the zone from 1999 to 2015, a period of sixteen (16) years, in terms of Bill’s Productivity and motions, oversight functions and bringing dividends of democracy to the zone and drew the verifiable conclusion that their combined performances cannot match the just seven (7) achievements of this.much credible Senator Fatai Buhari.

Distinguished Senator Dr. AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari has given more jobs to the youths and generated more opportunities for the youths and the aged through various pieces of training, seminars, and other empowerment programs with several youths benefitting from federal government intervention funds and other special support programs, thus the need for all and sundry to support and vote for the Omoluabi Senator in the coming elections is vital.

Unlike Senator Fatai Buhari, popularly called BAF Omoluabi, who distributed the appointments of his legislative aides across Oke Ogun and other parts of the constituency, instances with verifiable facts were given of some legislators who are currently representing the zone but who gave such jobs and many others to people outside Oke Ogun neglecting the immediate constituents they were representing.

A searchlight into the performances of such extremely failed lawmakers from 2019 to 2022 showed how selfish and unkind they have cornered the commonwealth of the constituents, who toiled day and night to bring them into power, to boom their non-existing flamboyant lifestyles, meaningless and worthless acquisition of irrelevant Chieftaincy titles, living the people to further wallow in poverty.

Sadly, this same set of accidental public servants are chanting Oke Ogun Lokan ( it’s time for Oke Ogun breed to be the next senator) to deceive the innocent public to achieve their devilish ambition.

This is a move the Oke Ogun Youths Solidarity Support Group have launched an uneasy attract against and vow to use their voting power to make the dreams of such callous leaders fruitlessly unachievable.

Additionally, going through some of the achievements of Senator Fatai Buhari, the youths eulogized the lawmaker for the distribution of seventy-five (75) transformers and ensuring they were installed, a feat that will be difficult for any lawmaker to break in Oyo State and South West Nigeria.

This is aside the distribution of thousands of solar-powered street lights and hundreds of solar-powered boreholes, construction, and rehabilitation of abandoned roads by this same lawmaker, Senator Fatai Buhari.

Likewise, in the educational sector, Senator Fatai Buhari is the first lawmaker to provide well-equipped ICT Centres to the district, he has built classrooms with toilets and offices as well as a state-of-the-art library including the provision of education support fund to students of the zone in higher institutions.

While the state governor under Engineer Seyi Makinde with executive powers failed to pay WAEC Fees of public students in Oyo State, Senator Fatai Buhari made the payment of the West African Examination Council Fees of Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of 600 selected students across the constituency.

The various speakers at the event did not end their search on the achievements of Senator Fatai Buhari without appreciating the lawmaker for, in the history of Oyo State, prioritizing the care for the physically challenged through the provision of 105 wheelchairs and a token amount to aid their movement.

The icing on the cake was the mother of all bills, establishment of the University of Agriculture And Technology, Oke Ogun, which is waiting the accent of President Mohammadu Buhari.

This same set of insensitive and short sighted leaders sponsored so many media attacks on Senator Fatai Buhari that the bill was just cosmetically inclined to deceive the good people of the zone into voting for him then, until they were proven wrong when prominent sons and daughters and Chiefs trooped enmass for the then public heating of the bill in Abuja.

It is believed that the establishment of such great citadel of learning in the zone will create more employment opportunities to both the literates and illiterates in the zone and further bring speedy development to the agrarian community.

The great-minded Oke Ogun Youths have seen and known the truth about the leadership styles of the Distinguished Senator Dr. AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari and his selfless and qualitative representation for the growth and development of Oke Ogun and Oyo North Senatorial District as a whole.

Having dissected, scrutinized and established the validity of the impeccable services to humanity and people-centric representation of Senator AbdulFatai Buhari, they came to a very smart realization that such a unique individual whose intention is straightforward and sincere deserves to continue representing the zone for another term.

It is vividly certain that their appetite for growth and development of the zone can further be relieved by the lawmaker, thus the need to mobilize massive support and vote for the God-sent legislator to continue his tireless efforts at bringing more dividends of democracy to Oke Ogun and Oyo North Senatorial District.

The esteemed people of Oke-Ogun gathered agian for the third (3rd) Edition of Oke Ogun Youths Solidarity Support for Distinguished Senator Dr. AbdulFatai Omotayo on Saturday 10th September, 2022 by 10 O’clock at the Oke Hall Town Hall in Kajola Local Government to drum their support for the People’s lawmaker.

It is therefore imperative to join this sincere movement aimed at delivering the zone and Oyo North Senatorial District as a whole from the shackles of bad leadership which had kept the district in a retrogressive developmental state until the emergence of the Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari and the need to support this lawmaker so that the zone can further move up the ladder of development.

Earlier, the distinguished Senator was at Oke Ogunbado area in Iseyin where there were issues surrounding where the transformer he presented to them few months ago will be sited.

After reaching an agreement among the youths and leaders of the community, the lawmaker approved it’s relocation .

It is on record that Oke-Ogunbado community has benefited greatly from the good governance of the lawmaker.

Also a transfomer was donated to Aponmakoro at the back of Anwar-ul-Islam secondary school, another transfomer at St Mary primary school and also the reconstruction of Moji Elepo to Ikere garage road, all within Oke Ogunbado axis.

The lawmaker also approved the sum of Five hundred thousand naira only (#500,000:00) for the installation and energization of the relocated transformer.

The lawmaker, thereafter, joined the waiting mammoth crowd at the Okeho Town Hall to appreciate him for his qualitative representation.

The gathering featured political big wigs in the zone where they pledged their unalloyed support for the God sent lawmaker to represent the zone again in the 2023 elections.
