ECOWAS HEADSHIP: WEST AFRICA SHALL EXPERIENCE RAPID GROWTH WITH PRESIDENT TINUBU IN CHARGE – SENATOR BUHARI

Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial District has assured West Africans that with the new leadership of Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) led by Nigeria President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the region shall witness rapid growth.

The legislator made this known in his message made available through his Media office in Abuja to rejoice with President Tinubu on his emergence as the Chairman of ECOWAS.

According to the Lawmaker, the outstanding exposure, experience and wisdom that have all been working positively for Nigeria within the few weeks that Asiwaju Tinubu has been manning the affairs of the country will surely be extended to West Africa for the benefit of every member nation of the commission.

The Lawmaker prayed for President Tinubu to have sound health in his discharge of his very challenging responsibilities.

“I prayed for President Tinubu to enjoy sound health in order to pilot the affairs of the commission and the country successfully enjoined not only Nigerians but citizens of Member Nations of ECOWAS so that regions can rapidly migrate from being a comity of developing to developed nations economically.

Senator Buhari gave his assurance that Heads of Member Nations of the commission will never regret making President Tinubu the New Chairman of ECOWAS.

It shall be recalled that President Tinubu of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was elected as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government at the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority held on July 9, 2023, in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau.

President Tinubu took over from H. E Umaro Sissoco Embaló, President of The Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
