FIRS BOSS CONFIRMATION: BUHARI EULOGIES ZACH ADEDEJI SENATOR

Senator Buhari today on the floor of Red Chamber eulogised the Acting Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Services, Mr Zacheaus Adedeji.
Senator Buhari spoke during the confirmation of the FIRS Boss on the floor of the Senate. While contributing, Senator Buhari informed his colleagues that Mr Zacheaus is a capable hand that can turn around the fortune of the agency.
The Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation and Aerospace Development recalled when himself, Senator Yunus Akintunde and Mr Zacheaus Adedeji served as Commissioners for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Works and Finance respectively under Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
He stated that while serving as Commissioner for Finance, the new FIRS Boss was instrumental on how Oyo State’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) rose from less than N1b (One Billion Naira) monthly to over N3b (Three Billion Naira) before their tenure ended.
Senator Buhari urged his colleagues to confirm Mr Zacheaus Adedeji as a substantive Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service because he has capacity and capability to perform.
The Senate later unanimously confirmed Mr Zacheaus Adedeji as the new Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Services.
