Alaafin Owoade made history with his first Public Appearance as Hon. Skimeh Commissioned Projects in His Honor
The pre-coronation programs for the installation of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, reached new heights yesterday with the commissioning of three of my projects in honor of the monarch.
The Projects Commissioned:
Fatuke/Elega Road, tarred with concrete asphalt has been named Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade road.
Also,the Alamo/Okediji road in Ilora, layed with concrete asphalt was commissioned too.
The newly installed, Electric Transformer installed and energized at the Ladigbolu area was as well commissioned.
All the projects were embraced in a week long pre -coronation programs for the foremost Oba
The projects commissioned demonstrated our commitment to the development of Oyo and its people.
In a historic moment, Alaafin Owoade attended his first public event after completing the Oro Ipebi rites, gracing the final match of a football competition I sponsored.
The event drew massive crowds of enthusiastic dignitaries and people from all walks of life.
I urged all Oyo people to rally round Kabiesi, just as they did for his forebears, particularly his predecessor, Late Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111.
On the football competition, Sixteen (16) teams competed in the football tournament before the final match.
While speaking,Kabiesi Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade called for support from all Oyo sons and daughters, assuring them that his accession to the throne was divine.
The monarch commended Hon. Akeem Adeyemi for his thoughtful leadership and prayed for his continued success.
The football competition ended with D Way FC taking home ₦500,000, Spectrum FC receiving ₦300,000, and Alatede FC winning ₦200,000.”
