Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, Ph.D, representing Oyo North Senatorial District, has extended his warm greetings to Muslims in Oyo State on the occasion of the new Islamic year, Hijrah 1447 A.H.
In a press release made available to journalists in the early hours of today, Senator Buhari felicitated with Muslims in the state, praying for peace, prosperity, and unity among them.
He noted that the new Islamic year is an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on their actions and renew their commitment to the teachings of Islam as laid down by Prophet Muhammed.
The Senator urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for the progress and development of Oyo North, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He emphasized the importance of unity, tolerance, and cooperation among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
The lawmaker also commended the Muslim community in Oyo State for their resilience and dedication to their faith while he prayed for God’s continued blessings and protection over Muslims in the state, wishing them a happy and fulfilling new Islamic year.
“As we embark on a new Islamic year, let us reflect on the values of faith, compassion, and unity that Islam teaches us. May this new year bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all Muslims in Oyo State and beyond,” Senator Buhari said.
The Legislator reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State and Nigeria regardless of their faith or background.
Senator Buhari called on Muslims to continue to be ambassadors of peace and love, promoting understanding and cooperation among people of different faiths and backgrounds as he urged them to strive for excellence in all aspects of life, serving as role models for future generations.
