Distinguished Senator Dr Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari, the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District, has condoled with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogbomoso North Local Government and Oyo State at large over the demise of the APC Chairman of Ogbomoso North Local Government, Alhaji Raimi Aremu Agunyanmole, who passed on in the early hours of Saturday 13th May, 2023 after a brief illness.
The Senator-Elect of Oyo North Senatorial District in the recent election made this available to the Press, premiumnewsnig.com reports.
The release reads thus;
” I received the news of the death of Alhaji Raheem Aremu Agunyanmole at the early hours of today with rude shock.
Alhaji Raheem until his death was the Chairman of our great party, All Progressives Congress, Ogbomoso North Local Government chapter. He was equally a strong loyalist of the late Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala.
Alhaji Raheem was a man of peace and one of the rallying points of our party. His death has therefore created a huge vacuum and he will be sorely missed. Personally, I will miss his elderly advice and peaceful tendency”.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Land Transport prayed to Allah to forgive him of his shortcomings and comfort the families he left behind
” My thoughts are with his immediate and extended family members he left behind. May Allah continue to watch over them and give them the fortitude to bear the loss. Amin.”
Born to the family of Mr & Mrs Aremu Olosun of Agunyanmole Compound,Saja on the 4th April, 1944 Alhaji Raimi Aremu Agunyanmole attended Inalende Primary School, Ibadan in 1955 and Bolanta Primary School, Ogbomoso in 1965 before proceeding to Junior High School and later to Cooperative College.
Alhaji Aremu Agunyanmole was also a unique hair barber who had his shop at Ita Biyi compound, Ogbomoso before he finally joined politics in 1968.
Politically, Alhaji Raimi Aremu Agunyanmole was the Personal Assistant to the late Alhaji Laide Bello and Lawyer Olatunji Mohammed.
He was the Organizing Secretary of National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in 1978 and Zonal Organizing Secretary of United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) in 1992 and later the Financial Secretary of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN).
Baba Agunyanmole was the Party Chairman of the All People’s Party(APP) in Ogbomoso North Local Government in 1998, Financial Secretary, People’s Democratic Party, Ogbomoso North Local Government, Chairman, Labour Party, Ogbomoso North Local Government, Chairman, Action Democratic Party (ADO), Ogbomoso North Local Government, Financial Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogbomoso North Local Government and Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Ogbomoso North Local Government til date.
