Heartfelt condolence message has been sent to the victims of the unfortunate explosion that occurred in Bodija area in Ibadan, Oyo State at around 7:45pm yesterday 16th January, 2024 by Hon Olamijuwonlo Ayodeji Alao Akala, the House Of Representatives member representing Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency at the Lower Chamber.
The Chairman, House Committee On Youths In Parliament while commending the Oyo State Government led by Engr Seyi Makinde for the prompt deployment of first responders to the area, wished the victims accelerated recovery and also charged the state government to thoroughly investigate the causes of the very unfortunate incident with a view to bringing whoever found guilty to book.
The release by the Chairman, Youth Parliamentarian Forum Of The 10th National Assembly to journalists in Abuja reads thus ;
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims of the tragic explosion that occurred last night in Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State, which resulted to the loss of lives and properties.
The swift responds of the Oyo State Government in deploying first responders and security personnels to alleviate the situation is laudable.
Also, it is crucial to investigate and hold accountable for everyone responsible for the explosion.
May God bring comfort to the bereaved families and grant the injured victims accelerated recovery.

It was a Dark Tuesday in Bodija area, Ibadan, Oyo State at around 7:45pm when an explosion occurred living many properties wrecked , many people fatally injured with one life lost, as at 6am this morning.
The explosion, according to reports affected about 10 neighboring areas as well as parts of the Oyo State Governor’s office, parts of Oyo State House Of Assembly complex and late Chief Bola Ige’s house.
