International Women’s Day: Our Women Deserve Better And They Must Be Treated Better – Senator Fatai Buhari
The Lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber, Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari has congratulated all women on this day of International Women’s Day Celebration.
In a release by the 2023 Oyo State Gubernatorial Hopeful under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and exclusively made available to Premium lmNews.ng, the lawmaker eulogised their numerous roles in making the nation a better place to live.
” Today, as the whole world celebrates the women, we must be remembered of the heroism and sacrifices our hardworking women as wives, mothers and fellow nation builders.
” Many of them have taken up the responsibilities of home and admirably trained their children while providing for the means of the family at the same time. Nigerian women particularly are resilient, hardworking and supportive to any course they believe in. In business, academia political positions, and other human endeavours they have distinguished themselves.
” I hereby use this medium to lend my voice to that of reasonings that currently advocate for the women rights in the contentious amended bills. Our women deserve better and should be better treated as they are the pillars of the nation.
” Coming down to my senatorial district, no word is enough to celebrate the great women of Oyo North. Their contributions to the all round development of the district have been immeasurable and they are paramount to me in all my activities. I hold them dearly.
