– Senator Buhari assures Oyo North
An assurance has gone to constituents of Oyo North Senatorial District to keep their hope alive as they shall have course to appreciate democracy more under the present government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This disclosure was made by Senator Buhari Abdulfatai Ph.D in a press release tagged JUNE 12: A WORTHY DAY OF DEMOCRACY IN NIGERIA made available to journalists in the early hours of today.
According to Senator Buhari who will be inaugurated alongside other Senators in Nigeria tomorrow, 13th June, 2023 to begin the third term of another four years in the Senate, Oyo North have greatly benefitted from the country’s democracy which came into being as a result of selfless sacrifices of the past heroes.
The lawmaker pointed out that Oyo North has been playing vital roles to sustain democracy in Nigeria since 1999 and the representatives of the district in National Assembly have all facilitated developments to every nook and cranny of Oyo.
“To the glory of God, since my first day in the Senate till today, I have been using the opportunity given to me by my people to sincerely serve as their mouths-piece,” the lawmaker stated.
He therefore pledged never to disappoint them but use every power he has as a legislator to see to the development of human and material resources of Oyo in the current dispensation.
As he is going to begin another journey of four years tomorrow, Senator Buhari promised that he shall represent the interest of Oyo North genuinely devoid of religious, tribal, economical, social and political sentiments.
“Now that I have been returned as Senator-Elect, the entire constituents no matter their political affiliations are mine and I pledge to sustain my style of politics based on equity, fairness and justice,” Senator Buhari stressed.
He declared that he is going to harness all the contacts and connections he had established with people that matter in the country to the collective advantages of constituents Oyo North, people of Oyo State and Nigerians at large.
