Adegboyega a former Head of Political Science Department University of Ibadan was born September 21 1946, Ogbomoso, Oyo state
He was appointed Junnior Research Fellow, Institute of Administration, Obafemi Awolowo University, lle-Ife, 1975-76; Lecturer II, University of Ibadan, 1976; Lecturer I, UI, 1978 and Senior Lecturer since 1981;
Adegboyega became Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellow, Institute of Local Government Studies; University of Birmingham, 1982-83; member, Nigerian Political Science Association member, America Society of Public Administration; Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU UI branch)
During his life time he was a committed Ogbomoso indigene and member of Ogbomoso Ajilete Club, Ogbomoso Pivotal Club , Ogbomoso Progressive Committee of Friends and Ogbomoso Community Development Association, Ogbomoso Parapo and others.
