Ogbomoso South Local Government Agog As Sanjay Empowers Constituents
There was wide jubilation in Ogbomoso South Local Government on Thursday 28th April, 2022 as thousands of residents trooped out to grace the Empowerment Programme by Honourable Sanjo Adedoyin, the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The occasion which witnessed the highest number of stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the constituency saw many beneficiaries of the purposeful event jubilate with full of prayers for their representatives for counting them worthy.
The beneficiaries of the oven hundred of millions of naira worth of items were selected from all the ten (10) wards in Of Ogbomoso South Local Government where the lawmaker is representing.
Items distributed in the empowerment programme to the constituents include ;

Dryer 9
Sewing machines 15
Grinding machine 31
Sprayer 35
Widows 25
Gas 24
Freezer 8
Sanjay, as the Majority leader is being called by his loyalists used the opportunity of the event to showcase his score card in the last three (3) years.
His brief scorecard in three years :
1) Moving of sixteen motions in the floor of the house most of which border in the overall well being of Ogbomoso South, Ogbomosoland ,Oyo State as a whole and Nigeria in general.
2)Sponsored and Co_sponsored of many bills that bring overall progress and accelerated development to the state and the nation at large.
3) Construction of boreholes
4) Rehabilitation of damage boreholes
5) Renovation of collapse fence of Baptist Grammar School, Haoyaya, Ogbomoso
6) Distribution of food items and other relief materials during COVID-19 palaver
7) Purchase of jamb forms to indigent students of Ogbomoso South Local Government
8) Facilitation of empowerment program from NIMASA to forty people with each of them empowered to the tune of sixty thousand naira (#60)
9) Facilitated employment opportunity to many people through:
1)TESCOM
2)Ministry of education ( Education Officers)
3) Amotekun
4) Hospital Management Board
5) As contract staffs in Lautec and Lautec Teaching Hospital
10) Assistant to over hundred of teachers to get car loan
11) Assistant to the senior citizens (Retirees) to process their gratitude and other allowances.
12) Mega empowerment
13) And many many more.
According to Azeez Bamidele from Ijeru 1, ” I did not believe what I saw at the venue. Check his scorecard. Sanjay tried but he can still do better. This is the best so far in the local government”.
Beneficiaries of the empowerment items were implored to make judicious use of the items given so that the essence of the event, human capacity building for self reliance, can be achieved.
