Oloye Adelabu Penkelemes: A Shinning Light That Must Not Go Dim

Alabi Tunji Micheal (ATM)

Climbing the highest political ladder has always been achieved through consistency, much patience, doggedness, resilience, focus, utmost loyalty devoid of desperation and a lot of learning and relearning processes.

Distinguished personalities like His Excellencies, Late Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi and Late Adebayo Alao Akala, President Mohammadu Buhari, Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, Engineer Seyi Makinde, to mention but a few have achieved greater heights in politics through the above and many more refined attributes.

Chief Adelabu Adebayo, your leader and mentor, the former Governor of Lagos State, Former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, National Leader of our Great Party and the winner in the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would not have achieved his recent feats if not the possession of the qualities early highlighted.

Oloye Adelabu Penkelemesi, is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu truly your leader and mentor as claimed?

Where is the progressivism the Late Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi said you possess, Sir?

I remember vividly how you came on board at the last hour, against all odds, to emerge as the standard bearer of our Great Party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2019.

A situation that divided the house and made the late governor the diehard enemy of many stakeholders even til date. However, we stood by you and contributed our own quota to make your aspiration a success. But God enthrones and controls the affairs of all mortals.

I quiet remember how my wallet, containing valuables, was my second cell phone, a Techno product was stolen while covering your event in Ogbomoso that day, Sir.

I never told anybody until this day that I am penning these few words to you, Sir.

The likes of Oloye Teslim Folarin , Joseph Tegbe and many others were never happy with the decision of the late governor but they never left the party.

Sir, arguably, you stayed aloof after the last election with little or no contributions to the progress of the party while some leaders were toiling day and night to see that the party remained stronger and more united.

Sir, irrespective of the outcomes of the congresses and primaries and having shown your grievances, I expected you to wait and use all the resources within your power to support Oloye Teslim Folarin for a victorious outing in the forthcoming 2023.

Sir, you will definitely be rewarded at the Federal level after the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023.

This will make you more politically relevant and also afford you more opportunities to hold firm at the grassroots and build your structures stronger and better to position yourself at a vintage point towards achieving your aspiration.

In all fairness and sincerity, winning governorship election in Oyo State is beyond being a billionaire and graduating with first class from the best school in the world and serving in the best public sector in the universe.

You are a potential Oyo State Governor in the Making, Sir, because age, exposure, your brilliance and many other factors favour you in this regard, Sir.

Sir, you need more learning in the process with a lot of dedication, philanthropism, sincerity and loyalty to make your dream of ruling Oyo State a reality.

Sir, please, ignore those distractive sycophants by your side. They are just after your money with immaterial values to make your dreams a reality.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is on board to reunite all warring factions for a greater Oyo APC that will unseat the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state in 2023 .

I passionately plead to your highness, Sir, that you rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC), with a view to writing your name in gold as one of the major contributors that will reclaim Oyo State in 2023.

It is not too late, Sir.
