Oyo 2023: As APC Stages A Comeback
The chances of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ruling Oyo State in the 2023 general elections keep getting brighter with each passing day. This is coupled with the insurmountable
crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the very low performance of her government nearly at all sectors of the once pace setter state.
Now, the APC has 10 out of the 14 House Of Representatives members who are doing well and are still expected to perform better in their various constituencies. The two (2) APC Senators from Oyo State are doing brilliantly and fantastically well by putting smiles on the faces of their constituents .
To affirm the good works of these legislators, one of the senators, Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, PhD representing Oyo North senatorial district, a second term senator (2015 -2023), was recently ranked 5th best senator in Nigeria with 14 bills from 2019 to date.
Dr Buhari is unarguably the best senator from Oyo State and also the best senator from the south western part of the country by Bills Progression Productivity Index, as being publicised by OrderPaperToday.
The various efforts of other Oyo State APC public servants serving in many federal government parastatals, commissions and boards cannot be quantified. The unity of the party, which is a major determinant to electoral victories as at today, still gives the party an unending hope and this l, it is hoped, will be maintained irrespective of any challenge that might surface before ,during and after the 2023 elections.
The major hurdle for the party is selecting a super star candidate among her many credible stars for onward victory at the polls. And this is expected to be done in the progressively sane manners, devoid of selfishness, greed and quest for power at all cost, prioritising the love of the party
and speaking in one indivisible voice by the relevant stakeholders.
Senator Buhari is the most marketable and electable. His political credentials stand tall among others who are jostling the apex position in the state. His track records of achievements as a public servant, human and resources management capacities, conflict resolution mechanisms as well as his zeal to breaking limits, against all odds, is outstanding.
The best that could happen to the APC is having Senator Buhari as her gubernatorial candidate for shocking and resounding victory in the forthcoming governorship elections in 2023.
