Pa Amos Akande’s Death: Senator Buhari Extends Condolences to Prof. Adeolu Akande, Family
The Senator Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District and the leading Governorship Aspirant in Oyo State, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai, Ph.D, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Prof. Adeolu Akande and his family on the passing of their father, Pa Amos Adetunji Akande, who died on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 90.
The Senator’s condolences were made available to journalists in a press release issued today.
Senator Buhari described Pa Akande’s death as a significant loss not only to the family, friends, Otu community andItesiwaju local government but Oke Ogun, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.
He prayed for the soul of the deceased to have eternal rest and that the Lord grants the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
Senator Buhari who acknowledged Pa Akande’s life of blessings, celebrating 90 years of love, care, and contributions to his family and community, noted that the loss will be deeply felt by the children given their father’s influential role in shaping their lives and values.
“Pa Akande’s legacy will undoubtedly live on through his children, grandchildren, and the countless lives he touched,” Senator Buhari expressed while he stands in solidarity with the Akande family during this difficult time, offering prayers.
He further prayed that the God comforts the bereaved family and grants them the strength to cope with their loss.
He wished Prof. Adeolu Akande and the entire family peace, love, and comfort during this challenging period while added that may the memories of Pa Akande’s remarkable life and achievements bring solace to his loved ones.
He prayed that the legacy of Pa Akande’s wisdom, love, and service to humanity continue to inspire future generations.
