PA OLORODE’S DEATH : A FALL OF PROGRESSIVE PILLAR IN OYO- SENATOR BUHARI MOURNED
The death of Prince Oyebamiji Sobaloju Olorode, an Icon of politicking in Oyo State and Head of Onpetu Royal family, Ogbomoso South Local Government Area has been described as a fall of a pillar of progressive family in Oyo State.
Senator Buhari Abdulfatai of Oyo North Senatorial District gave this description in his condolence message to the family of the deceased made available to journalists this morning.
According to Senator Buhari, Baba Olorode will be greatly missed for his unforgettable contributions to the sustanance of democracy and admirable governance in not only Ogbomoso South but also Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

“As an Awoist and political associate of Late Chief Bola Ige, the record set by Pa Olorode while serving as The Chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area with headquarters at Obada/ OdoOba in 1982 under Bola Ige’s led administration of old Oyo State remained a point, pivotal and developmental pathway that the present crops of politicians follow to enjoy sustainable support of their people,” Senator Buhari said.
While justifying why Late Pa Olorode will be greatly missed by not only his family but Onpetu land, Ogbomoso South Local Government, APC, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, Senator Buhari said as an active politician with wealth of experience in active politics dated back to first Republic, his share of experience and strategies that had made the Progressives stronger cannot be easily replaced.
“Pa Olorode was a lover of development of his people and community as he never placed self interest above the interest of the general public,” Senator Buhari stated.
He prayed onto God to be with the family that Late Pa Olorode left behind, endow them with fortitude to bear the loss and grant the deceased eternal rest.
