On Tuesday, 7th October 2025, a major milestone was achieved under the reign of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, as thousands of branded Orumogege III Exercise Books were distributed to primary school pupils across Ogbomoso North and Ogbomoso South Local Government Areas.
This remarkable initiative is the fulfillment of a heartfelt royal promise made earlier this year when His Majesty noticed many pupils lacked basic learning materials, especially exercise books. Committed to removing barriers to education, the King vowed to provide these essentials to empower young learners, Rev Peter Olaleye revealed on his Facebook page.
1,515 pupils received 6,060 exercise books — four (4) books each — including:
Ogbomoso North Schools:
* Osupa Baptist Basic School 1 & 2
* Okelerin Baptist Basic School
* Ori-Oke Baptist Basic School
* Ebenezer Baptist Basic School 2
* Aare-Ago D.C Basic School 1
* ADS Basic School 1 & 2
* Saint Stephen Anglican Basic School
* Abora D.C Basic School
Ogbomoso South Schools:
* Onpetu D.C Basic School
* Community Special Basic School
* Methodist Basic School 1 & 2
* Ijeru Baptist Basic School 1, 2 & 3
The distribution will continue to pupils in other schools in ONLG & OSLG, Oriire, Surulere, and Ogo-Oluwa LGAs as part of the ongoing 25-Year Development Plan.
This initiative reflects the King’s deep commitment to making education a cornerstone for lasting growth and empowerment in Ogbomosoland. Teachers, parents, and pupils expressed profound gratitude, recognizing this support as both a relief and a powerful motivator to excel.
