Senator Buhari Appeals To President Buhari To Assent To The Bill Seeking For The Establishment Of Federal University Of Agriculture And Technology, Oke Ogun, Before May 29

An appeal has gone to President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of equity, justice and fairness assent to the bill seeking the establishment of Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Oke Ogun currently on his table before May 29, 2023.

Senator Buhari Abdulfatai of Oyo North Senatorial District made the call during his “2023 Thank You Mini Empowerment Programme held at Irepo Grammar School, Igboho in Oorelope Local government area, premiumnewsnig.com reports.

Senator Buhari who was represented at the event by the former Commissioner for Works in Oyo State and Chairman Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic, Daura, Katsina State, Alhaji Wasiu Oladimeji Dauda said the people of Oke Ogun that made up 10 local government areas have not enjoyed Federal government at all and so the President should help in establishing the University in any part of the zone in order to ensure its growth and development educationally.

The Legislator who enjoined President Buhari to do the same to his sponsored bill seeking the establishment of Federal University of Transportation, Daura, that was recently given the presidential ascent and so has come to stay added that President Buhari should help the zone by giving his ascent before the end of his tenure in May 29, 2023.

The Lawmaker admonished constituents of Oyo North irrespective of their religious beliefs to join in prayer so that the president can sign the bill so that the federal government can establish the institution in Oke Ogun, Oyo North.

Senator Buhari assured constituents that he is not going to relent on his efforts until his dream of having a Federal Institution in Oke Ogun is achieved without any chaos.

“In the next four years starting by June this year, my facilitated dividends of democracy will be higher and bigger than my records in the previous years of representation,” Senator Buhari said.

He added “vocational and Capacity Building training for youths and women in Oyo North with a lot of impacts in the lives of the beneficiaries will continue in few weeks time”.

He, however, admonished other elected political office holders to be committed to the needs of their people in order to safeguard their future endeavours as politicians.

He called on leaders and members of APC in Oyo State to close all the ranks so that the party can be successful in the 2027 general elections in Oyo State.

He sued for unity and peaceful coexistence among the leaders and members of the party so that the failure encountered in the 2023 gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections will never repeat itself again.

“Let’s close all ranks within the party so that success can be achieved by APC in 2027. Make sure you attend all the party’s meetings,” Senator Buhari admonished.

Also at the event and presented good will messages were former Minister of Communications, Barrister Bayo Shittu ably represented by Alhaji Yunusa Azeez, Former Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Bonuola Azeez, and host of others.

A total of 750 beneficiaries who were carefully selected from the 13 local government areas that made up of Oyo North were given items that included; Motorcycles, Sewing Machines, Generators, Vulcanising Machines and Freezers.
