Senator Buhari Condemns Abolongo Prison Break
The lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber, Distinguished Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari PhD has condemned in the strongest terms the Abolongo Prison Break in Oyo town.

The jailbreak of Correctional Service Centre, Abolongo, Oyo, Oyo state on Friday, 22nd of October 2021 remains condemned.
For gunmen to stage such deadly attack that freed inmates of the centre and resulted in the death of a soldier and another officer of Amotekun was the peak of occurrence of insecurity in Oyo state if a fortified institution like the correctional centre could be breached in a broad daylight by now-at-large gunmen.
The 2023 Oyo Gubernatorial Hopeful further said,”:The security implication of this jailbreak is enormous as criminals who are serving jail terms or awaiting trials have found their way back to the society, and could continue in their criminal acts. I am worried over this.
I therefore charge all our security agencies to intensify their manhunt for these escaped prisoners and leave no stone unturned in their bids to arrest the criminals that staged the prison break. Government should as a matter of urgency put in place measures to forestall the recurrence of this criminal act and others in all our public institutions and the country at large.
