Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari, the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the Nigeria Senate, has condoled with the people of Igbeti over the death of the Onigbeti of IgbetiLand, His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Oyebisi, Afasegbejo III, who joined his ancestors yesterday.
In his condolence message that was made available to the press through his Media Office, the lawmaker expressed shock over the death of the Onigbeti, who in his days, dwelled on making the town a first class home for all.
“I condole with family, Princes, Princesses and generality of people of Igbeti in Olorunsogo Local Government area over the demise of Onigbeti of Igbetiland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Oyebisi, Afasegbejo III who joined his ancestors in the early hours of yesterday.
“The late Onigbeti was a rare father whose interest during his reign was seeing a modern Igbeti wearing similar development like every other cities not only in Oke Ogun but Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
Speaking further, Senator Buhari said, “Oba Afasegbejo was a close father and surely I’m going to miss his timely useful advice and calls which had been instrumental to majority of my achievements as representative of the people of Igbetiland and Oyo North in general, in the Red chamber’.
The 2023 Oyo State Gubernatorial Hopeful, prayed that God should forgive him of his sins, uphold the family he left behind and grant him a place in heaven.
” I pray onto God to be with the family the monarch left behind and that his demise shall not lead to disintegration among the people of Igbeti, the lawmaker empathized.
