Yesterday Friday 27th October, 2023 at his office, Distinguished Senator Buhari AbdulFatai received Heads of the various agencies under the Ministry of Aviation.
The visit was in continuation of strengthening synergy between the Executive and the Legislative arms of Government for effective and efficient service delivery to Nigerians.
It would be recalled that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation and Aerospace Development also played host last week to the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo (SAN) who was in his office on a working visit.
Also last week the Jiwa Community in the Federal Capital Territory handed over the site for the construction of the second runway of the Nnamdi Ajikwe International airport to the federal government through the Honourable Minister of Aviation in the presence of the Chairman, House Committee On Aviation. Construction has also commenced on the said site.
In his bid to see that our airports are transformed to meet international standard , Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari moved a motion on the floor of the Red Chamber earlier this week on the need for the Federal Government to upgrade the Ibadan, Ilorin and Maiduguri airports to international standard.
It is the dawn of a new era in the Nigeria Aviation Sector as both arms of governments saddled with the task of transforming the sector with best global practices will leave no stone unturned in actualizing the set aims, goal and objectives in this regard.
