Senator Buhari Mourns Justice Afolabi Adeniran
Senator Buhari Abdulfatai, Ph.D, representing Oyo North Senatorial District, has extended his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Justice Afolabi Adeniran, former Chief Judge of Oyo State and Worldwide President of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye.
According to the lawmaker, Justice Adeniran, a highly respected figure in the legal community, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the age of 87, after a brief illness.
Senator Buhari said that the demise of Justice Adeniran has sent shockwaves throughout Ogbomosoland, Oyo State, and Nigeria as a whole.
The Legislator said that the late Justice Afolabi Adeniran was a shining example of dedication to public service, leadership, and integrity.
“As a former Chief Judge of Oyo State, he demonstrated exceptional commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice was served. His leadership prowess and wise counsel earned him great admiration from his peers and the people of Ogbomoso,” Senator Buhari acknowledged.
Senator Buhari expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of Justice Adeniran, describing his passing as a painful loss to the legal community, Ogbomosoland, and Oyo State.
He prayed “may the soul of the deceased rest in peace, and may God grant his family the fortitude to bear this great loss”.
“Justice Adeniran’s legacy will be remembered for his tireless efforts in promoting justice, unity, and development in Ogbomosoland and beyond. As the Worldwide President of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye, he played a significant role in uniting sons and daughters of the region for development and cultural preservation,” Senator Buhari hinted.
He prayed further that the memory of Justice Adeniran will continue to inspire future generations to emulate his values of leadership, integrity, and dedication to public service.
The lawmaker prayed that the family of the late Justice and the people of Ogbomoso find solace in the memories of his remarkable life and achievements.
