SENATOR BUHARI MOURNS SOUN OF OGBOMOSOLAND
-SAYS THE MONARCH IS SYNONYMOUS TO DEVELOPMENT
Distinguished Senator Buhari Abdulfatai representing Oyo North Senatorial District has condoled with Soun Royal family and generality of people of Ogbomoso over the death of Oba (Dr.) Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III CON, CFR whose sad event happened in the early hours of today.
The lawmaker who expressed his heart-broken condolence in a release issued this morning said the news of death of a respectable royal father in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole was a colossal loss not only to the people of Ogbomoso but Nigerians as a nation.
According to him since the enthronement of Oba (Dr) Oyewumi as the 20th Soun of Ogbomosoland in 1973, the city has become a land habitable to not only indigenes of Ogbomoso but people from different parts of the country and beyond.
“We’re surely going to miss our enviable royal father for his unique commitment and dedication towards having peace and unity in diversity throughout his reigns”, Senator Buhari said.
Senator Buhari pointed out that no doubt, Oba (Dr) Oyemuwi facilitated unforgettably to the rapid growth and development of the ancient Ogbomoso city.
He stressed “in fact, it is not an overstatement that our father was synonymous to the Ogbomosoland as a reliable, honest and trustworthy leader who committed his soul to serving the entire people of the city.
He however prayed for the soul of the deceased monarch to rest in peace and that God should grant his immediate family, royal families and entire people of Oyo State, fortitude to bear the great loss.
