The recent cases of flood have destroyed properties worth trillions of naira with some lives lost in some of these affected areas.
These destructions by flood could be by nature while some are majorly due to the insensitivity and irresponsiveness on the part of some of our leaders.
Some inhabitants of flood prone areas along Oke Owode area connecting Imam house at Masifa area, Odo Oloko area at Saja, Oosa Aro Market, Odo Aduin to Isale Ora had very odd experiences and suffered many losses that some are still yet to recover as a result of flood.
People along these axis never prayed for the rainy season to come because of the likely damages associated to it in their various places of abode.
The cases of flood in these areas was worst in 2012 that some people had to flee their homes in these areas for fear of being washed away by flood.
All hope was lost by these inhabitants as several appeal to persons in authorities of power and prominent individuals for solutions did not yield any positive result.
The year 2013 to early 2015 witnessed massive relocation of people from these flood prone areas to protect their lives and property.
Sorrow may tarry for a night but joy cometh in the morning. Joy later came after many years of sorrow.
The assumption to office of Distinguished Senator Dr AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari marked the beginning of the end of their sorrow as the lawmaker sprang into action on how best to end these sad annual incidences.
