SENATOR BUHARI URGES CHINESE GOVERNMENT TO SUPPORT FG IN RESCUING ABDUCTED ABUJA-KADUNA TRAIN VICTIMS

Senator Buhari AbdulFatai has enjoined Chinese Government to assist the Federal Government of Nigeria to rescue the victims of Abuja-Kaduna Train attack,premiumnewsnig.com reports.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Land Transport made this statement during the oversight function of Joint committees of National Assembly on Land Transport to Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC).

Addressing the Deputy Managing Director of the Chinese Engineering Civil Construction, Xia Linjun, Senator Buhari reiterated the need for synergy and collaboration between Federal Government of Nigeria and Chinese Government to rescue those abducted.

“Chinese Government through CCECC are benefiting from Federal Government patronage who put all these infrastructures in place, thus, you owe it a duty to assist Government of Nigeria in rescuing those abducted along Abuja-Kaduna. If Chinese citizen is among those kidnapped, your Government would have come to this country and assist to rescue your own.”

Senator BAF commended Federal Government, Nigeria Railway Corporation for making sure railway infrastructure cut across all the states of the federation. He concluded by urging Federal Government to make sure all the train stations are connected with good access roads for easy commute of the citizens.
