The lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District,Senator Buhari AbdulFatai PhD, has condoled with the families of the victims who lost their lives at Takie in Ogbomoso where a trailer lost control and crashed onto a tricycle, claiming the lives of innocent passengers and affecting nearby traders.
Senator Buhari,who expressed how broken he was in a release issued to the press in the early hours of today described the unfortunate incident as devasting and sorrow to all Of Ogbomosos.
According to the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation and Aerospace Development;
” I am deeply heartbroken by the tragic accident that occurred at Takie Junction, Ogbomoso yesterday, where a trailer lost control and crashed onto a tricycle, claiming the lives of innocent passengers and affecting nearby traders. This devastating event has plunged families into grief and left the entire Ogbomoso community in sorrow.
This tragic incident underscores the urgency for the completion of the Oyo-Ogbomoso express way for heavy-duty vehicles to be plying. I urge the relevant government agencies in charge of the road to expedite action on the road.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. I cannot imagine the pain of such an unexpected and devastating loss. May God comfort you, grant you the strength to bear this heavy burden and rest the souls of the victims.
Recalled that the lawmaker spoke on the need for the speedy completion of the Oyo – Ogbomoso road during the flag off for the rehabilitation of the Caretaker – GTB – Seminary – Bowen Teaching Hospital road on the 18th November, 2024.
It is of great hope that the federal government through all the relevant stakeholders will attend to the speedy completion of the road so as to avoid further sad incidence on the old Oyo – Ogbomoso road.
