Thanking Senator Buhari on 39 Jobs as Potential IGPs, DIGs, AIGs

One of the remarkable strides of Senator Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari, the lawmaker representing Oyo North senatorial district, is the facilitation of employment opportunities for countless youths of the constituency in the ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs). The issue of these appointments has been widely spread on many media platforms.
The Ibapon prince and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Land Transport, Dr Buhari, recently facilitated jobs for a whole 39 constituents of Oyo North senatorial district in Nigerian Police. I conclude that the 39 candidates are potential Inspectors-General of Police (IGPs), Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), among others. I, as a progess-minded constituent, am appreciative of the gesture from the distinguished senator because in the next 20 year or thereabouts, these people would have attained some level to be better celebrated by all and sundry. It is needless to emphasise that these candidates are potential DIGs, AIGs and IGPs.
Needless, also, to say that in the annals of our senatorial district, we have never had it so good like the presentation of Alh. Sen. Dr Buhari in the National Assembly. The records are there to convincingly defend this claim.
In and around Ogbomoso, Oyo State and South-West geopolitical zone, at the moment, a representative like Fatai Buhari is hard to come by. But to say the least, the likes of Senator Bihari, Hon. Mulikat Akande-Adeola and Hon. Segun Odebunmi Bunvic, Senator Ayoade Adeseun have written their names in gold in their exemplary leadership and representation. No doubt about that. Others have, however, done well within their own capacities as first-timers in the National Assembly. I remember vividly that about this festive period 2, 3 years ago, Hon. Odebunbi, in his capacity as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, brought 25 job appointment letters for his constituents and beyond Ogo Oluwa/Surulere federal constituency in the (MDAs).
The likes of Architect Sakiru Shoara Morafa, Barrister Olusegun Adekunle, Alhaji Monsur Ejide, Dr Samson Adegoke Maigida, among others, have been very beneficial to Ogbomoso even as civil servants. So many Ogbomoso indigenes, like in many other cities and towns, have played pivotal roles in the development of their communities. The inference is that these 39 IGPs in the making can do exploit in the nearest future, God willing.
So many constituents of his district, Oyo State and beyond have benefited from his largesse as a distinguished leader of inestimable value.
A consummate businessman, politician, scholar, and apostle of good governance, Senator (Dr Buhari), the ‘President-in-the-Senate’, belongs to the créme de la créme in many ramifications.
It is interesting to note that Senator Buhari, a holder of the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in public policy and governance from University of Abuja, has facilitated a lot of projects to the district. And this is commendable in many ramifications. This award-winning senator is humble, dependable, progressive, intelligent, wise, reliable and that is why he has been tagged an ‘Omoluabi’ par excellence owing to brilliant performance at the Red Chamber.
The essence for writing this piece got kindled in me that the 39 candidates who got the slots facilitated by Dr Buhari are potential IGPs, DIGs and AIGs in the commission.
