The Onijan of Ijan Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi,Afayagbekun II, has promised the Nigerian Institute Of Transport Technology (NITT), Ado Ekiti Outreach Learning Centre of his unflinching support for the development of the institute for the betterment of the entire Ekiti people.
The royal father made this pledge when the Liason Officer, Mr Ademola Lanleyin led some members of staff to pay a courtesy visit to the new Oba in his palace at Ijan, premiumnewsnig.com gathered.
Earlier, Mr Ademola Lanleyin, congratulated the new Oba on his installation and prayed for peace, growth and development during his reign.
In the words of the Laison Officer, ” Kabiyesi, congratulations on your recent installation as the new Oba of Ijan. I pray that your reign will usher in more growth and development to the ancient town. I wish you very long life in sound health on the throne of your forefathers.
Mr Ademola Lanleyin used the privilege of the visit to orientate the Kabiyesi and his Chiefs of the activities of the Institute and the need to support the institution to be productive and more vibrant for the benefits of the immediate inhabitants and the good people of Ekiti State at large.
Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi in his response appreciated the members of staff for the visit and promised to support the institution in any way he could.
” NITT is a vibrant institute with the headquarters in Zaria, Kaduna State. I know of the activities of the institute and I can say I am happy to have such cital of learning in my domain. I charge you to let the institute and her training activities be known to all our people in the entire Ekiti State and down to the lowest level of people in the communities. Most drivers don’t know road signs which is very dangerous. I hope that very soon , training will be organised for our drivers on scientific ways of doing these things” , the well respected Oba said.
The very versatile King spoke on the need to engage indigent people in terms of employment and other youth empowerment programmes of the institute so that the immediate community will have a better feel of the facilities.
In the words of Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi, the Afayagbekun II, ” I enjoin you to engage more people from the immediate environment in terms of employment and other youth empowerment programmes. Ijan people are very accommodating and friendly so be rest assured of a peaceful stay in the environment. I am hoping that very soonest all the motorcyclists and motor drivers will be assembled for training or seminar by NITT as this will foster better coexistence among the people”.
