10th Assembly Will Be Very Successful, Senator Buhari Assures Nigerians
Distinguished Senator Dr Abdulfatai Omotayo Buhari representing Oyo North Senatorial District has assured Nigerians that the 10th National Assembly will be very successful in taking Nigeria to where the nation ought to be.
The third term Senator -Elect for Oyo North Senatorial District made this assertion on the floor of the Hallowed Chamber, today Friday 10th June, 2023, during the last sitting of the Senators for the 9th Assembly, premiumnewsnig.com reports.
According to the Chairman, Senate Committee on Land Transport, Senator Buhari ;
” I am standing with my colleagues today with joy. We were fifteen (15) that came from the House Of Representatives and we have maintained that relationship. One good thing about the Senate is that ,it is the only place in the whole world where you meet a friend at a go, one hundred and nine (109) in the Senate and three hundred and sixty (360) in the House Of Representatives. And when you are able to harness this opportunity very well, the sky is your limit.The opportunity is there. Whether you win election or not you can use that opportunity to plan your life.
Senator Buhari further posited that Nigeria is trying to make progress democratically with other advanced nations like the United States Of America, (USA) in the elections of her leaders for national development.
He concluded by assuring Nigerians that the 10th Assembly will be very successful.
” Whether we like it or not we are trying to align with America. They plan their primaries from the National Assembly. The next dispensation is going to be very successful, God’s willing. The President is a senator , the vice president is a senator, Secretary to the Government of the Federation(SGF) is a senator, the wife of the President is a senator, the party chairman is a senator, the deputy to the party chairman is a senator, the secretary to the party is also a senator.

Following the Proclamation by the President, Commander-In- Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, all Distinguished Senators-Elect and Honourable Members-Elect will be inaugurated (10th Assembly) on Tuesday 13th June, 2023 at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
