Senator Buhari Flags Off The Reconstruction Of Iseyin-Okeho, Okeho-Iganna Roads In Okeho
...as he solicits for maximum supports from residents of Alubo area to the contractor for speedy completion of the project.
It was another milestone development as residents of Isale Alubo area in Okeho, in Kajola Local government area of Oyo State, rolled out drums in celebration of the flag off of the reconstruction of the abandoned and dilapidated Iseyin – Okeho and Okeho-Iganna roads by the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator AbdulFatai Omotayo Buhari Ph.D.
At the occasion, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) AbdulRafiu Mustapha Osuolale, The Onjo of Okeho the President of Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho, Dr. Salawu Kasali Alarape and Prophet Eesuola who spoke on behalf of Okeho Development Youth Forum, appreciated God for using legislator to make what seems impossible for the residents of Alubo area possible.
This was contained in a release that was made available to journalists through the Media Office of the lawmaker.
” Earlier today, I flagged off the reconstruction of Iseyin-Okeho and the dilapidated Okeho-Iganna Roads at Isale Alubo area, Okeho. The roads are amongst those I facilitated to my senatorial district.
In his welcome address, President of Egbe Omo Ibile Okeho, Dr. Salawu Kasali Alarape expressed his thanks to Almighty Allah for making the road reconstruction a reality. He said the Okeho-Iganna Road is not just a road, but a symbol of hope, progress and commitment of the present leadership towards the development of Oke-Ogun region. The road is crucial and we believe it will further enhance the connectivity and development of the region.
He extended his sincere gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for approving the project and also myself for facilitating such a landmark project to the town. He prayed that the construction of the road will bring lasting benefits in the area of agriculture, economy, promotion of international trades and industry, as well as peace in Okeho land.
Speaking on behalf of Okeho Development Youth Forum, Prophet Eesuola extends his heartfelt thanks to me, for my ably representation and for being a true champion of progress and development in Oyo North.
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr) AbdulRafiu Mustapha Osuolale, The Onjo of Okeho was elated and expressed his heartfelt joy on the reconstruction of the roads which he said have become death traps for decades. He also expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu, myself being the facilitator and former minister of works, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola(SAN). Kabiyesi further stressed the importance of the road, that it will boost international trade between Nigeria and Republic of Benin because of its proximity to Ayegun Wasimi border which has been in existence since the colonial era.
His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulAzeez Soliu Oyemonla, Sabiganna of Iganna also appreciated the gesture of the President, for approving the reconstruction of the roads. He equally gave accolades to me for facilitating the project. He reiterated the importance of the road and how it will boost the economic growth of the connecting towns.
In my remark, I enjoined the people of Okeho and Iganna to cooperate and give necessary supports to the contractor. I also emphasised on the need for their continual prayers for Nigeria.
The MD/CEO HMF Construction Ltd, Engr Idris Adeoye assured the kabiyesis and everyone presence at the flagoff of quality jobs and timely delivery of the projects.
