-CALLS FOR COLLABORATION TO FIGHT INSECURITY
As Muslims across the world begin another New Year 1448 A. H. today, The Senator Representing Oyo North, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai has congratulated Muslims in Oyo North, Oyo State and Nigeria at large on the new year.
In his message of felicitation to people of Oyo State on the new year signed personally by Senator Buhari, the lawmaker reminded Muslims of the origin of Hijrah as a profound sacrifice and migration from evil to good and unwavering faith in Allah’s guidance.
Senator Buhari noted that the lessons of Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Makkah to Medinah remained relevant for nation-building, unity and personal reformation in today’s Nigeria.
He admonished Muslims to use the New year as a moment of sober reflection and renewed commitment to peace, tolerance and community service.
While acknowledging the progress recorded so far particularly in Oyo North, Senator Buhari said “the progress of the district depends on collective effort, mutual respect among all faiths and adherence to justice and equity as taught by Islam.
Senator Buhari added “In this new year 1448A.H, let us pray fervently for Nigeria. The nation needs divine intervention for economic stability, security and unity amid current challenges”.
“I am confident that with steadfast prayers and good deeds, Allah will grant Nigeria relief, prosperity and lasting peace,” The Lawmaker stated.
He also prayed for a healthy and peaceful returns of abductees of Oriire Local government still in the den of their abductors.
