With all the empowerment programmes designed and executed for self reliance of women and youths in Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has created an enabling environment for economic growth and development of the country.
This declaration was made by the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Dr. Buhari Abdulfatai in his speech delivered at the closing of a three-Day empowerment programme for 150 women and youths in the district held at Igbo Community Hall, Maryland, Ogbomoso today 10 July, 2026.
The programme facilitated by Senator Buhari that started on Wednesday 8th July and ended today was sponsored by National Board for Technology Incubation and executed by Hayes Multisystem Investment Limited.
According to Senator Buhari, the total package of the empowerment; the training on Agripreneur, branding, packaging, marketing and other opportunities are enough to make the beneficiaries become independent and job creators.

He pointed out that reasonable number of beneficiaries of his previous empowerments have become successful in their small and medium scales businesses while he added that the testimonies encouraged him to intensify efforts in doing more.
“Some women and youths have succeeded via the previous trainings and that’s why I am putting in more efforts to facilitate similar opportunities for more constituents,” Senator Buhari said.
The lawmaker who described his efforts on federal government jobs and empowerment for his constituents hinted that he is doing all these in appreciation of their efforts that gave him the grace to represent them for three consecutive terms.
“I will never be tired in doing more and more for my people. It is my desire to liberate as many constituents as possible,” the lawmaker disclosed.
He charged the beneficiaries to have a strong determination to excel in their businesses.
The beneficiaries totaling 150 were given a certificate of participation and a start up grant of N100,000 each.
