AHORO ESINELE ATTACKS: SENATOR BUHARI CALLS FOR IMPROVED SECURITY NETWORK

Following deadly attacks on Ahoro Esinele Community that left students of L.A. Primary School abducted, a teacher killed, and the Principal of Community Grammar School abducted alongside some of his students, Senator Buhari Abdulfatai of Oyo North has called on both the Federal and Oyo State governments to urgently improve the state’s security network.
Senator Buhari made the call in a press release titled “Urgent Need to Boost Security Network in Oriire and Other Neighboring Local Government Areas of Oyo State”, issued in the early hours of today in Abuja.
According to the release, the attack on Ahoro Esinele Community, which claimed one life and led to several abductions, was a dastardly and wicked act which connoted that no part of Nigeria is safe from deadly attacks anymore.
The lawmaker sympathized with the family of the teacher who lost his life, prayed for his soul to rest in peace and that all those abducted be released unharmed.
Senator Buhari admonished parents and guardians of the abducted students to support security operatives through patience and prayers while he expressed confidence that the abducted persons would soon be freed.
“Let me use this medium to call on the Federal Government to deploy a heavy security presence to every nook and cranny of Oyo State so that these criminal elements can be flushed out before the situation becomes a regular occurrence,” Senator Buhari declared.
The legislator further urged Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to step up efforts to secure the immediate release of all abducted individuals without delay.
“These people must not be allowed to suffer in the den of the wicked. Government at all levels must ensure that they are rescued on time,” Senator Buhari stated.
